Kenneth E. Edwards, CPA, is a Managing Director at CFO Strategies, LLC. He delivers a wide variety of services and helps clients stay abreast of rules and regulations to comply with increasingly complex accounting and reporting issues.
Ken has nearly 36 years of experience working in the financial industry, with more than 26 of those years in public accounting, primarily at Big Four and national firms. Ken specializes in working with middle-market companies (with revenues of $5 million to $800 million) in the pharmaceutical, manufacturing, construction and telecommunication industries. Before joining CFO Strategies, Ken was a retired partner of CohnReznick LLP, where he served as the office leader of the manufacturing and distribution services for New Jersey as well as a senior member of the SEC group. Prior to that, Ken was the owner and managing director of a New Jersey accounting firm that specialized in full-service accounting, including audit, tax, consulting, Sarbanes-Oxley testing and also outsourced CFO services.
In addition, Ken spent seven years in the private sector. Four of those years, he served as Senior Vice President of Finance for a publicly traded company primarily responsible for all investment banking relationships, SEC reporting, capital fundraising, and acquisition integration. Through these experiences, Ken is better able to service his clients by integrating his practical knowledge with the challenges of complex accounting and reporting issues.
With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Finance from Goshen College, Ken is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Ken is also a member of the board of directors of the Urban League of Morris County (Treasurer), Workforce Investment Board of Sussex and Morris County and the Hope Chest Scholarship Foundation, of which he is the immediate past Chairman.
